Text Box: New Shooter Orientation

In order for new shooters to participate in a monthly match, they must go through the  Safety Orientation class first. Orientation classes are held every 4th Saturday at the range. If you have friends who are interested in shooting with the Bayou Bounty Hunters and want to participate in this orientation, please e-mail or telephone Crazy Emmitt. The new shooter orientation handbook can be downloaded directly from the BBH web-site.

Perhaps the thought of taking an RO class has crossed your mind, but you asked yourself the question, “But why?” If you have no plans to be a posse leader, you may have wondered if there is a need for you to sit in on an RO I and the later RO II classes.
Any time we play a game, it always make us better players when we know the rules. Ours is a sport where the rules of the game sometimes change from year to year. In addition, you need to know the rules of the game to perhaps personally support your position if a call is may against an action that you have taken where you feel you were right in how you handled the situation.
There will be two upcoming RO classes (RO I and RO II) held at Coyote Creek in the coming months. If you have not participated in a previous class, contact Rattlesnake Blake to let him know that you are interested in taking either of the two classes. If you have participated in a previous class, it is recommended that you to occasionally review your material and sit in and audit the class (no charge) as a refresher.
Dates of the upcoming RO I and RO II classes forthcoming.

Member notices:

We would like to make sure everyone is using the same paint color and brand on the targets.  This facilitates the painting of the targets and uses less paint when re-painting.  Please use the following:  Rustoleum, Sail Blue and Sunrise Red.  There is usually some in the hotel for repainting targets after you have practiced on the range.  If you care to have some of your own, please use the above brand and color.

Anyone camping at the range, must take care of the $5.00 per night camping fee with Ms. Sally at the clubhouse.  If the event that there is a major match, Florida Parish Skeet club members would have preference on the hook-up sites at the skeet club.

Congratulations to the new
Mississippi State Champions!

Short Stuff

The Mississippi Peacemakers hosted the MS State Championship in April and a great time was had by all.

Those Peacemakers really know how to “pass a good time,” as all those bayou cowboys can attest who headed up to Purgatory last month.
